Guess What? The Marshmallow Cart is Doing a Pairing at Cellardoor Winery!

This Breathtaking Wine Tasting Room in Portland Was Once a Train Repair & Storage Facility

The old brick buildings at Thompson’s Point are filling up with new vendors as the location gains popularity for concerts and events. Before renovations began for Cellardoor Winery, you would have never known that the aged exteriors could house one of the most beautiful wine tasting rooms in Maine.

Here’s what the backside of the Cellardoor building looked like in 2011, as captured by Google Maps. Today, building is filled with new life and style.

Cellardoor at the Point is Cellardoor Winery’s second location. The winery features glasses and flights of wine starting at $8 in their immaculate 5,000 square foot tasting room.

The original brick walls are exposed in all their glory while the modern renovation is equal parts elegant and industrial. This spot is becoming a fast favorite for bachelorette parties and bridal showers.

The decor is super Instagram-worthy, down to the hot pink upholstered chairs. Thursday nights at Cellardoor feature complimentary wine and food pairings with local vendors, including chocolatiers, chefs and bakers.

Upcoming tastings include Black Dinah Chocolatiers and The Marshmallow Cart. The full schedule is at mainewine.com.
